Project Description

Engenium Group provided MEP services to support the construction of Alethia Tanner Park, a park in the NoMA neighborhood of Washington, DC, that provides outdoor space for recreation and community gatherings. We worked with NoMa Parks Foundation and the local community to Engenium Group provided MEP services to support the construction of Alethia Tanner Park, a park in the NoMA neighborhood of Washington, DC, that provides outdoor space for recreation and community gatherings. We worked with NoMa Parks Foundation and the local community to develop the desired program for the park, which includes:

  • Large flexible green space
  • Dog park
  • Meadow
  • Connection with the Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT)
  • Cafe pavilion
  • Stage with AV/utility and storage rooms
  • Utility pavilion, including fountain utility area, maintenance closet, park storage, and restrooms
  • Site lighting
  • Water fountain

The MEP scope included all new site utilities, new HVAC systems for new cafe and restrooms, electrical and plumbing distribution systems, site lighting and photocell / timeclock controls, irrigation systems, and fire alarm and fire suppression systems for pavilion buildings.
