Get to know our team through Engenium’s Employee Spotlight series. Meet Brandon Johnson, Electrical Engineer and Engenium’s longest tenured employee!

Where are you from?
Benning Road Northeast, Washington, DC.

Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I earned an Associates in Electronics and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering at The University of the District of Columbia.

What do you like most about working at Engenium?
Most projects are not the same and as a person who likes to learn new things and technology it satisfies that need.

Favorite project you’ve worked on at Engenium?
Currently it would be the Casey Warehouse project. This is one of the major projects that I have done recently where everything kind of came together as far as self-knowledge. This project showed me I can handle everything on the electrical side and more for a medium sized to larger sized project with little oversite.

Favorite team outing you’ve attended?
The Beer Tour in 2016. Although I do not like beer, we ended the tour at the DC Brewery where I found a love for gin.

What hobbies/interests do you have outside of work / what do you like to do for fun?
I mostly spend time with my wife and 2-yo son. However, pre-pandemic I was big into Jiu-Jistu with a lot of Leglocks & Wrestling (Relson Gracie 4th stripe Blue belt). Now I just do Muay Thai and work on a heavy bag in my basement. Lastly, I spend about an hour a night studying or doing a CTF.

Engenium Moves to New Baltimore Office

1024 669 Engenium Group

Engenium Group moved into our new office space at 233 E Redwood Street, Suite 900B, in December 2021. Our client base has grown rapidly in the Baltimore region over the past year, and we decided it was time to expand our square footage, too. It’s been nearly a year since our final walk-through of the space, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our new home.
