Engenium Group provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design and engineering for the fit out of the MedStar Health Frederick facility. The fit out effort encompassed approximately 6,000 SF of clinician and rehabilitation spaces located at 163 Thomas Johnson Drive in Frederick, MD.
The project supported MedStar Health’s Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) and National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) branches, with spaces for specialty clinic spaces, orthopedics spaces, and rehabilitation spaces. Specifically, the project features waiting areas and reception, shared office space, a multi-purpose area and pantry, an open gym for rehabilitation patients, restrooms, exam rooms, an x-ray room, a procedure room, a hand therapy space, an IT closet, and typical support spaces. Our mechanical team designed and specified for a new VAV rooftop unit to support the facility, with resulting new VAV boxes throughout the facility. Our electrical design included a new 65 kVA transformer to support the specialty medical equipment required for operations.
